Dr. Flore is one of those rare and yet accessible business leader types that one count on for help and able to get the support fast. Whether it’s a new marketing campaign or a magazine edition topic you need her to help you with and give you some feedback, she’s only an email way. So rare that Dr. Flore is the only media person that has given me an interview to help me get some awareness for HAITI OPEN Magazine. She interviewed me on her Radio-TV Show during the spring of 2015 for HAITI OPEN Magazine’s first edition. Since then the magazine has been on an I-95 billboard, metro buses and bus shelters, and not a single media person has asked me for an interview.

Dr. Flore,

Thank you for the great collaboration we had during the past 8 months. You are a true professional who earns my respect and admiration. I sincerely believe that God will enlarge your territory as you continue to serve the Haitian community with all the good qualities that you possess. As we engage in new ventures, it is my hope that we remain connected in order to continue displaying our true values through collaboration. I look forward to partnering with you in other projects, as we see fit, for our own professional growth and the benefits of our community; since our best legacy is not what we leave to our loved ones, but rather what we do for our community.

Maitre Beau

Joseph Beaubil “Me Beau”

The story went like this. Once upon a time, there was a dynamic Haitian radio show in South Miami Dade County. The program was aired on Sunday afternoon and hosted by three good friends: Manny Ardouin, Weston (Ti Ton’n) Etienne and Flore Lindor Latortue. I am telling you…That was fun. Those guys used to talk about anything … I mean anything: pick on one another, crack jokes and moreover voye konpa mounte ( Play Haitian konpa music heavily). Do you imagine?… A real happy group.

One day, they decided to conduct a survey in order to determine who among them was the most popular. Suddenly, I heard Flore shouting: Marcel … Marcel Alexis! please call the radio right away on my behalf because of mesie yo soti pou yo maspinen- m la-a. ( The guys are giving me a hard time). I said to myself : Oh! she knows me that well? and I called…Guess what? Coincidence or not, she won the contest and since then Flore and I became good friends.

To me, Flore can be described as being creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated, courageous and reliable with a sense of leadership and a vision of her own. With a heartfelt attitude, she often volunteers to assist people in need and in most cases she will be the first one to be at your side and the last person to leave. I value her friendship because I feel that she is loyal, compassionate and consistent in her actions toward people. It is noticeable that Flore has the guts to speak her mind quite openly in many circumstances but she doesn’t hold any grudges or feelings of vengeance or retaliation that could eventually be harmful to herself and to the people that she is dealing with.

As a professional, Flore shows honesty and patience in providing counseling, sound advice and useful guidelines to people who consult her, because her priority is to contribute, the best she can, to the success of the other party regardless of the socio-economic conditions of that person.

As a citizen, Flore devotes a lot of her time and resources in supporting the Haitian American community living in Miami Dade County in their struggle for equal justice and human rights. As a result, she is the founder and director of AEDAP, a non-profit organization with the mission to implement and promote leadership, most precisely to benefit the youth. In Haiti, she has created a charitable association to help the poor.

All in all, Flore wonders at Life, Love and the Infinite. She lives her life her own way, like most of us do, but she is remarkable with her own individuality and the richness of her style in handling situations of different and complicated nature. The combination of those qualities will certainly make her the person that she really wants to be: A successful woman in modern society.

It has been a pleasure to work with Dr. Marie Flore Lindor Latortue. I met her a while back first as a professor at the school I graduated from, where she also promotes the show “Gade Tet Ou” on Saturdays. I was invited by the school to go on the air, and speak on the importance of education as a guess. Our partnership started right there as I went into more details about what I do in the community with Karibamerica’s Well-Being Foundation a not for profit helping families with cancer. We developed a partnership as well I was pleased last year to be a part of AEDAP where I delivered a song, and this year Dr. Flore was the host of our mother’s day event, honoring mothers with cancer in our community. After the show I still spoke about her services to others and they replied that Dr. Flore is very professional, works well under pressure, and was able to connect everyone at the event to understand the mission in English and French to please our diverse crowd there. This year we can’t wait to work with her again, I admire her professionalism and what she believes in and how her driving spirit can help any business in needs of her assistance. To work with her is a breath of fresh air.
